Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction MBSR

This mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) class is based on the original mindfulness training developed at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center Stress Reduction Clinic by Jon Kabat-Zinn.  

It is the same mindfulness training that has been the subject of hundreds of research studies to validate its effectiveness for relieving stress and its effects and to promote vibrant health and wellness. 

This 8-week MBSR course is held once a week for 2.5 hours. Prior to signing up for the class students must attend an orientation session that includes more detailed information about the class content. It is important to attend the orientation to determine whether the class is appropriate for you or not. 

In addition to the weekly 2.5 hour classes, there will be one full-day (7-hour) silent retreat.

MBSR Online

LIVE ONLINE! This is the same 8-week MBSR course as the in-person class. 

The online class is an opportunity to receive the same training if you live out of the area. Classes are held 2.5 hours per night, for eight weeks, plus there is a 7-hour silent retreat. Once registered you will receive instruction for watching the orientation video to determine the appropriateness of the class for you. 

$395 includes instruction, guided practice recordings, and workbook.

Eat Right Now - Mindful Eating Program

You can learn to Eat Right Now. This Mindful Eating Program consists of four parts: The Eat Right Now app which contains the daily lessons, bonus modules, online community, and in-person group sessions.  For Bend, the local group sessions are held once a week for one hour per night, for 6 weeks. $89 for the group sessions and $24.99 per month (or $129 for the year) for the app. Currently, each payment is made separately. Mindfulness Meditation

Learn to meditate! Or, if you're an experienced meditator this is an opportunity to deepen your practice. You will learn and practice the formal mindfulness meditations of the body scan, gentle Hatha yoga, sitting and walking meditations.  

If you're not sure about jumping in to the 8-week MBSR class, this is a great place to start! Learn to relax and focus your attention for increased awareness of the present moment. Focusing your attention in this way can help reduce stress and promote healing.
