One of the formal mindfulness practices that we practice at Haelan House is gentle Hatha yoga. There is no striving, straining, or stressing involved and you are encouraged to pay attention to your own body and ability to do any of the poses presented. It may just be some of the best yoga you’ve ever experienced.


Body work such as massage is very beneficial to the healing process. Our massage therapists are well trained to provide massage that helps your body to feel better and to heal.


Reiki is the practice of energy healing through the movement of energy in your body.  Reiki means, “spirit life force.” A Reiki treatment can be done “hands on” or “hands off”, depending on your level of comfort.  You may or may not feel the energy during a treatment. It is a very gentle form of alternative healing.


Aromatherapy is the practice of using natural oils extracted from parts of plants including bark, stems, flowers, leaves and roots that can be applied topically, or inhaled, for calming and healing effects on the body and mind.

Zone Therapy

Zone Therapy is the practice of using pressure applied to specific nerve points on the feet, hands or ears that correspond to muscles, lymph nodes, organs and the circulatory system in the body for healing and relaxation.  Foot Zoning, is the practice of using pressure points in the feet only and reflexology is similar but also includes pressure points in the hands and the ears.
